Learn Irina’s methods for creating long-lasting clay eyes to use in your needle felted creatures. This course is a companion to all of Irina’s paid creature courses.
Skills you will Learn:
- Sculpt the simple clay eyes from white polymer clay
- Shape the eyes in different ways to suit a specific creature, or give yourself options when it comes time for eye selection
- Experiment with colored clays and pastels to make eyes that are different colors
- Draw a variety of pupil shapes, sizes, and directions to convey emotion and character into your critters
- Seal your color and Pupil work with a varnish to keep everything in place and protect the eyes
- Give the eyes a glossy finish by applying an epoxy coat that will protect the eyes and keep them looking lively for years to come!
