General

When you enroll in and pay for an online class it should be available to you immediately and forever, period. As a result of commitment to that ideology, once a student is enrolled, they have full access to all of the course content. This includes hours of video instruction, supply lists, patterns and sometimes written guides – all of which are proprietary information. As a result, there is no way for the student to “return” information they already have been given access to.

We stand behind our courses and instructors 100%. In our school you will be learning from top rate feltmakers who have entrusted us to help them teach people who wish to learn and grow in their own felting practice. As artists and teachers ourselves, we honor their trust and their willingness to share the techniques, skills, patterns, projects and experience they have gained through thousands of hours of their personal time and development.

We ask that you carefully consider each course before enrolling.
Note the SKILLS FOCUS, DIFFICULTY LEVEL, and HELPFUL EXPERIENCE TO HAVE before enrolling.
Read over the entire course outline. Enrolling in a class that is beyond your skill level is not reason for a refund.
Classes are designed to take you to a new level; that is what we hope these courses will do for you.
Take some of our free classes and make sure the online felting school is right for you.

If you are still uncertain whether a particular class will meet your needs, please Contact Us via phone or the contact us page and leave your phone number.

We will be happy to discuss with you more about the class so you can make a more informed decision before enrolling.

At this time, there are no refunds for online courses and classes are non-transferable.

All material on FeltingTutorials.com is protected by copyright law and by international treaties. You may purchase courses and content only for your own personal use.

You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, or create derivative works of the material – unless authorized by the appropriate copyright owner(s).

In other words: Making copies of Felting Tutorials materials for your friends is simply not a cool thing to do to the artists, and authors. The money they earn from their course helps them pursue their own passions and provides income to their families. Not only is not “not cool”, it is illegal.

Sharing your login or password with anyone else is strictly prohibited.

You may sell the items you make as a result of taking Felting Tutorials courses.

If you are entering items in an exhibit, take note that some exhibits prevent you from displaying works that were made in a course. So make a few and put your own spin on it before exhibiting.

Sharing Etiquette – when you share works you made from taking the course, tag the teacher and @feltingtutorials so the teacher can gain more students and others can benefit as well. When you tag us, we can share you and your works on our social media too!

Achievements are a component of all paid classes, but may not be a component in free classes.

You will find “mark complete” buttons throughout your lessons, make sure to click those as you complete each section.
This includes informational sections/lessons such as downloads for supply lists and patterns.

Achievements are awarded automatically and will appear in your dashboard.
Achievements are earned through self tracking of course completion, whereas certificates are awarded after completion is verified by school staff.

Once you enroll in a class, it is yours to access. Regular courses are available immediately upon enrollment, that means no waiting 🙂 Regular courses also do not have an end date, so as long as you maintain your membership, you can access courses you have purchased. This is especially helpful as you can revisit any section over and over. PLUS, you can interact with others in the class chat when they join the course 🙂

Notes are a utility available to all students. Under the DASHBOARD, you will see a link for “My Notes”. In this area you can access notes you have taken in any of the courses you are enrolled in. Some suggestions for “notes” are:

Bookmark a Lesson: Copy quick links for sections of a class you want to jump back to and re-watch or watch at a later time.

Supply Notes: Jot down notes about supplies or materials you want to get, you can even paste urls for the specific products you want to buy.

Color and Design Ideas: Feeling inspired? Scratch down your concept and color ideas right on the course page so you can take action on that inspiration when you are ready to gather your supplies.

Questions & Comments: Have a “?” Use notes to quickly write down your question. If your question is about a particular section of a lesson, make note of the time stamp on the video so you can include that when you post a question to the Class Chat (discussion page)

For more detailed info on My Notes, make sure you are Logged In to see screen shots below.

Find the note pad button within a LESSON

When you click on the note title, this it what you see.
(If you prefer to go back to the lesson where you took the note, click on the Location: subtitle instead of the title)

Have you completed your class? That is awesome!! Certificates of Completion can be awarded when you have finished a class and “made the thing”.
Whereas a “badge” is a self “yay, I took in the material! :)”, a Certificate is a bonafide, verified achievement of completion.

To get a Certificate of Completion for a course, do the following:

1) Post a picture of your completed project in the Class Chat
*It does not have to be an exact replica of what the instructor made, but it does need to be a project made from this course instruction.
2) Use the Contact Us Form and select Certificate Request from the menu
3) In that message, confirm your full name, and confirm that you have posted a picture of your finished item in the class chat.

We will award your certificate within 3-5 days.
Certificates will appear on your dashboard and can be downloaded from there.

Certificates are FUN and may be useful for those seeking CE Credits. If you are a teacher and need an additional letter of verification for CE credits, please include any pertinent information in the form when you request your certificate so we can make sure you get the documents you need 🙂
